PLOT: 

The series centers on the officers and detectives of the NYPD's 74th precinct in the Brooklyn neighborhood of East New York. Heading up the precinct is Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood, the newly promoted commanding officer. Haywood has a vision that not only will they serve and protect the community but become a part of it.

East New York is an American police rocedural television series that aired from October 2, 2022, until May 14, 2023, on CBS. The series starred Amanda Warren, Jimmy Smits, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Kevin Rankin, Richard Kind, and Elizabeth Rodriguez. In May 2023, the series was canceled after one season.

TRIVIA: East New York is a residential neighborhood in the eastern section of the borough of Brooklyn in New York City, United States. Its boundaries, starting from the north and moving clockwise, are roughly the Cemetery Belt and the Queens borough line to the north; the Queens borough line to the east; Jamaica Bay to the south, and the Bay Ridge Branch railroad tracks and Van Sinderen Avenue to the west. Linden Boulevard, Pennsylvania Avenue, and Atlantic Avenue are the primary thoroughfares through East New York. Map!

COMMENTS:

Another disappointment! And I really gave this one a try. I usually give a show about 3 episodes. This one I gave 10, mainly because I didn’t have to time to look for something else, but also I really liked several characters. Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood (Amanda Warren), Officer Brandy Quinlan (Olivia Luccardi) and Captain Stan Yenko (Richard Kind) were all really likeable, but in the end. This ”fast food” cop drama didn’t deliver, so it was REJECTED or just plain BAD. 

As some of you might know, I really don’t like cop/detective shows were they solve one case in one 45 minute episode. They’re always braindead with no depth, no excitement. All the bricks fall into place immediately one by one, without any twists and turns. Totally pointless!
